Casting and Forging Suppliers in Japan
18 verified casting and forging suppliers, each matched to its official corporate registration.
Casting and forging cover several distinct processes that get grouped together because they all form metal rather than cut it. Sand casting, die casting, investment casting and forging each suit different volumes, tolerances and materials, and Japanese suppliers tend to be specialists in one rather than generalists across all of them. The base grew up serving automotive and machinery customers, so process control, material traceability and consistency between batches are usually well documented.
Two things catch overseas buyers out. Tooling comes first, so pattern or die making dominates the lead time before you see a single part. And material specifications are written to domestic standards, which do not map one to one onto the grades you may be used to. Every company below is matched to its official corporate registration, so you can confirm the legal entity before you start a tooling conversation.

Frequently asked questions
Which casting process should I ask for?
It depends on volume, tolerance and material. Sand casting suits larger parts and lower volumes, die casting suits higher volume non ferrous work with better surface finish, and investment casting suits complex shapes needing tighter tolerance. Describe the part and the annual volume and let the supplier recommend the process.
Do I need to convert material specifications?
Usually yes. Japanese suppliers quote to domestic standards, so ask the supplier to state the equivalent to your specified grade and confirm it in writing. Do not assume a nominally similar grade has identical properties; get the chemistry and mechanical values.
Is machining after casting included?
It varies by supplier. Some foundries machine in house, others subcontract, and some supply as cast only. Clarify the scope early, because an as cast price and a finish machined price are very different numbers.
What drives the lead time on a casting project?
Pattern or die making, which happens before any parts exist. Ask for the tooling schedule, the first article and approval step, and the production lead time as separate items rather than one combined figure.
How do I confirm a foundry is a real company?
Check the corporate number. Every registered company in Japan has a 13 digit number, shown on each profile page here, and you can check any name with the verification tool on this site.
